About me
My full name is Krister Mark de Ridder. I´m a 19 year old Dutch dude from Alphen aan den Rijn (Zuid-Holland).
I´ve been playing the guitar since I was eleven and wrote my first song when I was twelve. As you probably can imagine, that song wasn´t good at all.
That is probably also the reason why I can´t remember that song.
Anyways I kept practicing my skills and a couple of years later I could write proper songs. Most of them got lost in my chaos, so they are gone as well.
The oldest song I could find dates back from the days that I was fourteen (2004). But since 2004 my style has changed so much that I don´t like those songs at all. So I won´t post them here.
I will only upload music from my new style, which is Rock, not Metal as it was before.
Rock gear
I have various guitars, one acoustic, one electric bass and three normal electric guitars, so that makes five in total. When somebody would ask me why I have three guitars when I just need one, I used to say that they are all tuned differently, although that is not actually true. These days I just use my acoustic guitar and one of the three electric ones. The remaining three guitars are nothing more than wall decorations.

The third electric guitar is a homemade one. Not made by myself but by someone I know, and he didn´t want it anymore.
Furthermore I use a Line 6 amplifier, Spider III (75 Watts).
When recording a song I just connect my amplifier to my computer and start recording all the guitar riffs one by one.
Computer gear
For recording I connect my amplifier to the Line In of my computer. By using Movie Maker, a standard Microsoft Windows application,
I record all the sounds coming in through my Line In. Movie Maker is an application that usually is included with Microsoft Windows XP
or Microsoft Windows Vista.
For the final mixing and to add any effects or drums I use Fruity Loops. This is a payware product, produced by Image-Line,
which comes in various sizes and prices.
